Thanks to Ruth, I have gotten ahold of SO many old friends. I'm living in Michigan now, married almost 18 years, and my son will turn 17 in one week-YIKES! If anyone is trying to get a hold of my brother (John), I can put you in touch with him. Sure would like to hear from anyone in the 80's who remembers me. Afcent was a great place to spend some time, wish I could have stayed a little longer than the one year. Take care.
Name: Dave Thompson Years at AIHS: 1969 - 1972 What I've been up to: Lived in Niagara Falls / Canada since 1984. Always searching and looking for former AFCENTers who were there during my time. Every new contact could potentially lead to another person. I remember some U S students from that time - the Nash family (Craig), the Hanson family (Sandra), the Wyman's (Daniel and a brother) I think. We / they all lived in Geleen. I would be very interested to hear from anyone from that time period and correspond and see what notes we can compare. Please email me at afcent@sympatico.ca Thanks

I've spent the last hour reading the last five years worth of "comments". Many of you may remember my Dad better than me - the infamous business teacher Tom Carter. I graduated in 1990, and married in 1994. I have two great kids Ryan, age 8, and Madison, age 5. I have since divorsed and work in the Banking industry as a Compliance Officer. Name: Stephanie James Years at AIHS: 1983-87 What I've been up to: After graduation, we moved back home to Illinois. My dad retired from the military. I went to Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and graduated with my Bachelors in Nursing. I worked as an ER nurse from 1989-1999 in St. Louis, MO. In that time, I got married in '91 and had my one child, Bradley in 1994. I started working for Merck & Company, Inc. in 1999 and love my job. I am no longer married, as of 2001. (but, not because I love my job...) I am currently residing in Ellisville, Missouri with my son, my bulldog (Fletcher) and my boxer (Ozzie)... I am embarrassed to say, I have JUST discovered this site on my Thanksgiving holiday. (I am at my parents' house in Brandon, FL.) It is so awesome to think about seeing everyone again in 2005. I would love to catch-up. Life is too short; and in Missouri--the first question people ask is "where'd ya go to high schol?" It's been a total frustration to try and explain AFCENT to someone who's never been outside of their own STATE!

As I near "40" years old I find myself thinking back to the "good ol' days" at AFCENT where I spent many hours(and miles)bussing to/from school from Germany. Some of the people I rode with day after day(stallard, becker, gore, joy, baker, hanson ect...)might remember who I am, But I must say that for the most part I never had a lot to say, And don't know If any of them would really call me a "friend". ost of my life at afcent revolved around the time I wasn't at school!! Name: Robert Small Years at AIHS: 76-80 What I've been up to: How nice it is to see this site! I see that the Lions' logo still sports the christmas colors! Although I attended middle school, and not high school, at AFCENT in the late 70s; I, none the less, have fond memories of the experience. My family, and I, lived in Heerlen. I remember riding the bus to school through towns such as Hoensbroek and, gosh, maybe then it was on to Spaubeek or... Beek!? Maybe it was Shinnen!? And then finally to Brunssum. Too funny! I'll never forget some of those special places! My AIHS '79 year book has been lost in the many moves we made since then. Does anyone know if there are any copies available? I periodically wonder what happened to some of my fellow students there. What ever happened to: Doug Oliver, Lyndsey Dorris, Bryan Sullivan, Mark Payton, Whendy Udlock, Harold Wardrop, Caroline Jetho, Cathy Lithgo, and Jo Ann Wooderly? Me? I didn't join the military. I graduated from the U of WI. and I now live, and work, in the Seattle area. Good to see the site. Thank you very much! Or should I say Dank u vel! Toot siens! Dag.

Name: Cynthia Cunniff Years at AIHS 79-82 What I've been up to: After leaving AFCENT I finished highschool in Northern Virginia and went on to college in Caliornia at CSU Long Beach. I always had a feeling that Southern California would be a perfect home base for me, and that has proved to be true. Though, I spent many years working and living in Europe in the IT industry and made England my home for several of those - I always manage to find myself back in the South Bay of Los Angeles. I backpacked through Europe the summer before my college senior year and had a chance to return to AFCENT to wax nostalgic. It was the summer they were completing the new additions and I could see how the old school was morphing into something I would barely recognize, though I understand some of the traditions hold fast, ie: skipping school in the Heide, etc. I am married to a wonderful native Californian, Steve, who has three great kids that now consider me their "bonus parent". I have recently started my own consulting services in marketing and operations and - funnily enough - find myself consistently representing my wares for military contracts (it's in the blood!). My dad, mom and sister are all also happily living in Southern California. My years at AFCENT had such a strong influence on who I am today. I can only hope when I have children they will be afforded the opportuntiy to be part of a community/school that acts as a partnership in caring for one another. I have quite a few phone numbers and addresses for those of you trying to contact anyone between 1979 - 1985.
