Welcome to the AFCENT/AFNORTH International High School Alumni Web Site! AIHS is a NATO school located in Brunssum, the Netherlands, near the town of Maastricht. (AFCENT stands for Allied Forces Central Europe; AFNORTH stands for the same in NORTHern Europe; the name was changed in the late 1990s.) DoDDS/DoDEA, the Department of Defense Education Activity, has been providing education for military dependents (aka military brats) around the world since 1946; about 50% of the students at AIHS are DoDDS students.
